Abstract
This seminar describes UW and community resources for starting a new business or non-profit venture. Included is the role of UW-Madison startups in Madison, considerations in forming a company, university policy on outside activities and conflict of interest, defining product features, identifying customers and markets, and assembling needed people and resources. Services available to entrepreneurs through the Entrepreneur’s Resource Clinic (ERC) in the WID will also be highlighted.
