4th Annual Perlman Symposium on Antibiotic Discovery and Development
Description
This symposium is made possible by a generous gift from Kato Perlman, David Perlman's widow. David Perlman was the Dean of the School of Pharmacy from 1968-75. He held 23 U.S. patents on antibiotics and their modifications. Thus, the Perlman Symposium aims to honor the accomplishments of David Perlman by bringing together current members of the UW community who share an excitement and interest in antibiotics.

Abstract
The symposium will involve four talks in the morning and a lunch for all registered participants followed by a poster session of relevant work from the many UW laboratories interested in the general topic. There will be awards for the best posters and a reception with refreshments in the afternoon.
