Vision Build the premier place for putting Life into Life Sciences Museums and Hands-on Science Centers worldwide. (Click any image to see full version)
We envision an impact on the life sciences comparable to the impact on the physical sciences of the Exploratorium in San Francisco.
Problem The Dairy Barn is historic but it needs care. As an animal care facility, it is increasingly obsolete. How can we see it as an inspiring opportunity? CALS and the University need to show our successes, cultivate new scientists, and recruit top undergraduate talent.
Solution Build The Dairy Barn as The Museum of Living Sciences at the University of Wisconsin-Madison:
  • A Living Sciences Experimentorium.
  • A place for generating science savvy in the next generation of scientists.
  • A space for celebrating the genius and ingenuity of Wisconsin researchers and inventors in agriculture, life sciences and health.
  • An engine of invention for new ways for learning the arts of science.
