3' Expression Target Labeling Service
One Round Amplification 3' Expression Target Labeling
Using Ambion's MessageAmp™ Premier labeling kit up to 96 samples can processed at a time. The recommended total RNA input is 100 ng with 20ng being the minimum amount. GEC staff will qc all
samples prior to start of labeling the assays using the Agilent 2100 BioAnalyzer to verify sample integrity and the NanoDrop Spectrophotometer to verify sample concentration and purity.
Please
refer to the Guidelines for AFX Sample Submission prior to bringing
your samples to the GEC. When you bring over your samples please fill
out a Affymetrix sample submission sheet (form fillable), and insure your samples are legibly labeled with a sample name and your P.I.'s name.
| Sample setup and labor fee (1-12 samples) | $516.00 |
Target Labeling fee (per sample) for 1-12 samples | $80.00 |
Sample setup and labor fee (13 - 96 samples) | $715.00 |
| Target Labeling fee (per sample) for 13-96 samples | $80.00 |
Two Round Amplification aRNA 3'Expression Target Labeling
Using Ambion's MessageAmp™ II aRNA Amplification and Labeling Kit
up to 12 samples can be processed at one time. The recommended total RNA
in-put 100ng with 0.1ng being the minimum. GEC staff will qc all
samples prior to start of labeling assays using the Agilent 2100 BioAnalyzer to verify sample integrity and the NanoDrop Spectrophotometer to verify sample concentration and purity.
Please contact the GEC for pricing on this service.
Whole Transcript Target Labeling Service
Using Ambion's ® (WT) Expression kit up to 96 samples can be processed at one time. This assay is optimized specifically for use with the GeneChip® ST Arrays where "ST" stands for "Sense Target," and where the probes on the arrays have been selected to be distributed throughout the entire length of each transcript. The recommended total RNA in-put is 100 ng with 50 ng being the minimum. No ribosomal removal is required for Human, Mouse, and Rat Exon 1.0 ST and Gene 1.0 ST Arrays when using the Ambion®WT kit.
| Sample setup and labor fee (1-12 samples) | $1101.00 |
Target Labeling fee (per sample) for 1-12 samples | $84.00 |
| Sample setup and labor fee (13-96 samples) | $1300.00 |

Affymetrix GeneChip® Array Hybridization Service
Following Affymetrix recommended protocols and procedures, biotin-labeled cRNA or end-terminus biotin labeled DNA is hybridized to the appropriate GeneChip® overnight in the AFX HybOven480, post processed on the automated Fluidics450 Station, and scanned on the GC 3000 G7 Scanner. Data is extracted from the scanned image using AFX Expression Console software. An Excel spreadsheet of the extracted data is provided along with all files generated on the Affymetrix GeneChip® System. User is notified by e-mail that their data
and project summary is available on the UWBC file server for their downloading convenience.
Please refer to the Guidelines for AFX Sample Submission prior to bringing your samples to the GEC. When you bring over
your samples please fill out a sample submission sheet (form fillable), and insure your samples are legibly labeled with a sample name and your P.I.'s name.
| GeneChip® setup and labor fee (1-8 arrays) | $255.50 |
| GeneChip® setup and labor fee (9-16 arrays) | $444.00 |
| GeneChip® Hybridization & Post Processing fee per array | $67.00 |
Note: This service is intended for 3’ expression and Whole Transcript Sense target hybridization work flows, other array work flows may incur additional charges.
Researchers are responsible for purchasing all GeneChips®. To ensure academic pricing, when ordering
from Affymetrix (1-888-362-2447), please refer to UW Contract #10-5540.
Please note: No refund for poor results. If
a GeneChip® appears faulty at time of hybridization and/or analysis, a
new GeneChip® will be requested from Affymetrix, but Center charges
still apply.
