This section of the website provides a collection of useful information about solid phase peptide synthesis (SPPS).  Since the inception of SPPS by Bruce Merrifield in 1963 (JACS 85(14) p. 2149-54), this technique has been used to create natural and non-natural molecules for the study of biological and engineered systems.
