International consumer concerns and the routine mixing of biotech and
conventional grains are leading challenges facing US ag biotech exports,
according to this report by the General Accounting Office, an agency
of Congress. The report cited differences in the US and EU approval
processes for biotech crops, differences in consumer reactions, and
a range of labeling and segregation requirements put in place by various
nations.
