19 Campus Native American Mounds Walk
- All Day
- Picnic Point
- Before the city of Madison existed, the lakeshore site where UW-Madison is now located was an Indian encampment. Join UW-Madison's Friends of Campus Natural Areas for a tour of campus effigy mounds and habitation/workshop sites in the Picnic Point area. Meet at the Picnic Point parking lot, and please note that artifact collection on state property requires a research permit.
22CALS day for kids
- Stock Pavilion
- 9:00 a.m. - 3:00 p.m.
- Kids from area schools take the yellow bus to the Stock Pavilion and see baby livestock, and other hands-on science exhibits created by College of Agriculture student organizations.

- Intended primarily for extension educators, this conference makes teachers of adults up-to-date on the latest developments in animal biotechnology, including cloning and the science of animal disease control, specifically including Chronic Wasting Disease (CWD).

- In 1903, Charles Van Hise became president of the University of Wisconsin, and he described what came to be known as the 'Wisconsin Idea' — that the boundaries of the university should be the boundaries of the state. What is to come of the Wisconsin Idea in its second century, and what is the future of science outreach in this era?
