April, 2005
The work of the SEE Biotech grant is over with the expiration of the grant. This site will remain online as a resource, but will no longer be updated.

Extension personnel and other non-school teachers and opinion leaders can use this site to help the public come to understand and make informed decisions about the social, economic and ethical aspects of agricultural biotechnology.

Animal biotechnology was the topic of the last SEEBiotech conference, held April 22-23, 2003. Also, you can go to the conference websites of "Food, Land and Culture," and "New Perspectives on Biotechnology", our 2002 extension conferences, to see speakers' powerpoint presentations, and other materials supplementing their presentations.

Be sure to stop in for a visit to our sister site, BioTrek, the Outreach program of the University of Wisconsin-Madison's Biotechnology Center and University of Wisconsin-Extension. Also see the Science Alliance team page.
