Animal Biotechnology Spring Conference

This one and a half-day conference for Extension educators and other teachers of adults covered:

Real-world issues about biotechnology in production agriculture

The science and technologies of animal biotechnology

Biotechnology in animal disease detection, prevention and treatment

Sponsored by SEE Biotech, the USDA Consortium to address the social, economic and ethical implications of agricultural biotechnology, and University of Wisconsin-Extension. E-mail Webmaster
Conference registration costs and materials were provided by SEE Biotech.
This conference addressed public concerns about the ethical dilemmas, economic ramifications and social and community effects of the use of animal biotechnology in agriculture.
Three consecutive sessions examined specific topics from the point of view of producers, consumers, distributors, scientists, advocacy groups, and industry and government officials.
