The presentation will attempt to differentiate between the goals of informative, persuasive and educational messages. It will elaborate on the nature and hierarchy of the cognitive, affective and psychomotor domains of educational messages. Also, it will emphasize the importance of integrating cognitions, emotions and actions in education. This educational framework will be applied to illustrate how messages intended to educate an audience about biotechnology and GMOs ought to be formulated and approached.
