Description
The workshop is "Part II" of the microbiota analysis. In "Part I" we processed 16S-derived data and classified reads in operational taxonomic units (OTUs) with the software mothur. We will now take the results and go over the statistical analysis with the software R on a Linux server platform
In this all day workshop with lecture and hands on exercises. Participants are expected to have a
basic knowledge of the Linux environment and a basic understanding of
statistical methods.
Prerequisite:
The R software will be used via line command method.
Must be comfortable with the Linux command line and
familiar with basic Linux commands.
The
Linux Basic for NGS Data Analysis or
DoIT's Linux in a Day free course for UW Students can provide training, or attend the Linux Essentials workshop. However, for this microbiota workshop this is only highly recommended, not required.
